Koo Shen Lin

Shen Lin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in psychology and a Masters degree in Developmental Psychopathology(Sydney). She is a registered psychologist with the New South Wales Board of Psychologists in Australia. She is also an Associate member of the Australian Psychological Society(APS) and a member of the Singapore Psychological Society, (SPS).

She has previously worked with the Department of Community Services (Sydney) in the Disabilities Department and she took care of up to 6 group homes. She later worked for Chinese Australian Services Society (Sydney) – a non-profit welfare organization and provided psychological services, specializing gambling counselling while she was there. She also wrote articles for the local paper to spread awareness of important mental health issues to the new migrants and the Chinese ethnic community.

Shen Lin was the psychologist for the Child and Adolescent Unit in Mt Elizabeth-Charter Behavioural Health Services (Singapore), a mental health unit in a private hospital, before setting up CATS, a private practice.

At CATS, Shen Lin works with children, adolescents and adults with various behavioural, emotional and psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety and personality disorders. Her specialty is in psychological and IQ assessments, OCD and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. Shen Lin also provides counselling and workshops for teachers and students in special schools, main stream and international schools in Singapore.

 

 

Zena Kang

Zena holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) (Hons) degree and a Masters of Clinical Psychology degree from Sydney, Australia. She is a registered psychologist with the New South Wales Board of Psychologists in Australia.

Zena previously worked in Mt Elizabeth-Charter Behavioural Health Services(Singapore) where she was responsible for the management of children with behavioural issues, teenagers and adults with eating disorders, and adults with psychological and emotional difficulties. She has also provided psychological services in Sydney, Australia at a child and adolescent centre and an adult community health centre.

Zena is presently the school psychologist for Nanyang Girls High (NYGH) and provides individual counselling for the students as well as talks and workshops for both students and teachers.

Zena is also an accredited administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), one of the most widely used personality tests in the world.

Applications of the MBTI include:

  • self-understanding and development
  • career development and exploration
  • management and leadership training

Currently at CATS, Zena provides both assessments and therapy for children, adolescents and adults with a special interest in working with people with depression, anxiety, grief and post-traumatic stress.
